See more than the headline sights.

Bon Voyage treats a destination as a connected world: history, neighborhoods, food, nearby escapes and the port or route that brought you here all belong to the same journey.

AN ANCIENT CITY, A LIVING PORT AND A HILLSIDE OF MEMORY

Annaba's strongest day links Hippone and Saint Augustine without flattening them into one stop.

Algeria's Ministry of Tourism describes Annaba as the principal city of the Constantinois coast, built on the ruins of ancient Hippone, with the Saint Augustine basilica and the archaeological remains among its defining visitor sites. Algeria's 2025 submission of the Augustinian Routes to UNESCO's Tentative List places Hippone within a much wider network of sites associated with Augustine; it is a Tentative List entry, not an inscribed World Heritage property. Treat central Annaba and the waterfront as one city sequence, then give Hippo Regius and the basilica their own current opening, access, terrain, heat, mobility, guide and transport checks. Cap de Garde, Seraïdi, El Kala and Constantine add distance and belong in separately protected regional plans.
