Batumi, Boulevard & the Adjara Coast
Batumi connects a historic port-city core, European squares, contemporary waterfront landmarks and a long Black Sea boulevard, with wider Adjara requiring separate plans.
See more than the headline sights.
Bon Voyage treats a destination as a connected world: history, neighborhoods, food, nearby escapes and the port or route that brought you here all belong to the same journey.
Batumi's central landmarks make a coherent city day before the route expands into Adjara.
Georgia's national tourism authority places Batumi on the southeastern Black Sea and connects Old Batumi's architecture with Piazza, Europe Square, the Medea Monument, lighthouse, Ali and Nino, Alphabetic Tower, Colonnades and Batumi Boulevard. That supports a substantial city-first route without relying on a long transfer. The official Adjara tourism portal treats Makhinjauri–Green Cape and its Botanical Garden, Gonio, Sarpi and mountain municipalities as distinct regional destinations. Each extension needs current opening or access information, suitable transport, weather and road checks, terrain and accessibility planning, and a protected return. Do not combine the Botanical Garden, Gonio and mountain Adjara into one routine port day.
