Bon Voyage treats a destination as a connected world: history, neighborhoods, food, nearby escapes and the port or route that brought you here all belong to the same journey.

A FORTIFIED CITY BETWEEN CLIFF AND STRAIT

Bonifacio's upper town turns its limestone promontory into the architecture of a frontier.

The municipal tourism office presents Bonifacio's citadel as a medieval upper town approached through fortified gates and organized around narrow streets, churches, bastions and views over the harbor and the Bouches de Bonifacio. Below, the marina follows the natural inlet; outside the walls, the Campu Rumanilu coast reveals the city's layered limestone setting. The Lavezzi archipelago, Porto-Vecchio, Ospedale and Alta Rocca belong to separate route decisions whose current access, weather, sea state, transport and return margin should be checked rather than compressed into one automatic port day.
