Cannes, Antibes & the Lérins Islands

Cannes, Antibes and the Lérins Islands form a western-Riviera landscape of cinema culture and seafront boulevards, Provençal market streets and ramparts, quiet pine islands, a royal fort and a living monastic tradition.

START WITH THE PLACE

See more than the headline sights.

Bon Voyage treats a destination as a connected world: history, neighborhoods, food, nearby escapes and the port or route that brought you here all belong to the same journey.

A FILM CITY FACES TWO ISLANDS WITH OLDER MEDITERRANEAN STORIES

Cannes is more useful when the Croisette, Le Suquet and the Lérins Islands remain three distinct experiences.

The official Cannes Tourist Office presents the city as a collection of different districts: Le Suquet preserves the fishing-village hill, the Vieux-Port sits between that old quarter and the Croisette, and the festival city extends east along its celebrated seafront. Offshore, Sainte-Marguerite adds protected nature and Fort Royal, while Saint-Honorat pairs a quieter island landscape with a centuries-old monastic presence. Antibes is a separate rampart city with an old town, Picasso Museum and Cap d'Antibes coast; it deserves its own timed route rather than being folded into a rushed checklist.
