See more than the headline sights.

Bon Voyage treats a destination as a connected world: history, neighborhoods, food, nearby escapes and the port or route that brought you here all belong to the same journey.

AN ATLANTIC CITY OF NAVIGATION WITH A VOLCANIC ISLAND BEYOND

Angra is the historic city chapter; Terceira's caverns, viewpoints and north coast require their own route.

Visit Azores identifies Angra do Heroísmo as Terceira's colorful capital and a UNESCO World Heritage city. The official historic-center record links its urban plan to Portuguese navigation history, supporting a city route through the old streets, Sé Cathedral, Praça Velha and Town Hall, gardens and the bayfront. Monte Brasil adds a separate volcanic ascent and view over Angra. Elsewhere, Praia da Vitória presents a different bayfront town, Algar do Carvão descends into an ancient volcanic chimney, Serra do Cume opens across the island's pasture pattern, and Biscoitos anchors a north-coast route. Treat each as a distinct road, cave, trail, coast or weather plan. Confirm current opening, access, transport, terrain, visibility, accessibility and return margin; sea conditions and wildlife sightings are never guaranteed.
