ARRIVE WITH CONTEXT

The port is only the beginning.

Bon Voyage connects the arrival point to the city, region and experiences it actually unlocks. That means understanding the port first—then deciding how far the day should reach.

ARRIVAL STORY · A CRUISE CALL INSIDE ELBA'S BUSIEST PASSENGER HARBOR

Portoferraio's protected bay supports several arrival paths, so the ship's own instructions come first.

The Northern Tyrrhenian Sea Port Authority describes Portoferraio as Elba's principal port, combining scheduled ferry, cruise, leisure and fishing traffic. Its preferred cruise berth is Alto Fondale beside the historic center, while other passenger quays may be used when it is occupied and the broad roadstead can receive anchored ships. An authority-linked April 1, 2026 notice confirms a current cruise season and a call at Alto Fondale, but it does not make that quay universal. Confirm the berth or anchorage, tender and landing if used, controlled port exit, accessibility, meeting point, island transport and final return before choosing a route.
